An optical illusion, interactive lipstick box containing 5 shades of lipstick. Slide open the box and watch the magic happen. I worked for a cosmetic manufacturer for six years. Over those six years I had seen a multitude of packaging literally by the hundreds of thousands. In fact, this factory is where the inspiration to learn more about graphic design began. I focused on packaging as that was where my inspiration started, and developed a lipstick box that has never existed before. I took an optical illusion that had fascinated me for years, and applied it to this box where the consumer could see the application of the product as they open their new lipstick set. I also found this to be an excellent way of reducing waste. Who wouldn’t want to keep a unique and interactive box that you can use again and again?
