Salton Sea Interactive Map

This interactive map features six postcards across the top and bottom of the map that can be torn away via perforations. The front of each postcard shows a photo from the 1950s and 60s of a place or location along the slowly decaying Salton Sea in southern California. A corresponding number on the postcard is shown on the map of the Salton Sea of where that photo was taken. A traveler with the map can stop at each location and see the photo of what was in that spot back in the hey-day of the Salton Sea compared to now and the ruins it has been left in. A QR code on the back of the postcard allows the traveler to learn more about that place or location and even hear sounds that would have been heard from that time, such as music, sounds of people on the shores, and the rumbling of motorboats and street cars passing by.
